Congratulations, you have
successfully completed the module. Let's revise the key topics and objectives
that you covered throughout the lessons. In this module, you learned about the
value of the Microsoft power apps portal. You now know how you can use it to allow
internal and external audiences to view and interact with data from
Microsoft Data Verse or Dynamics 365. You also build your own automated
solution using Power Automate. You were introduced to
Microsoft Power Automate and learned how you can streamline
repetitive tasks and business processes. You now know that it can be used by
people with all skill levels from typical business users to IT professionals. You can empower everyone to
build automated processes with Power Automate thanks to
its low code platform. You explored how to build
the flows available to you and the different business needs they meet. You discovered that portals allow you
to set authentication requirements and customized data for each user. You learned that power apps portals
capabilities empower online consumers who prefer to find answers on their
own through self service and community options. You now know that your consumers use
multiple channels to stay connected. These include web, mobile, telephone,
social and self service channels. You established that portals can also
help you build a sales pipeline and empower employees, agents and
field technicians who can now process and complete work orders in the field
instantly by updating Dynamics 365. You now know that power apps, portals are
built on top of Microsoft data verse and that some of the capabilities
include centralized management, common data model, roles and permissions,
forms and views and business rules. You found out about several portal
templates that are available that can be provisioned. If you are using Microsoft Dynamics
365 apps such as Dynamics 365 sales or Dynamics 365 service, you have a choice
of five additional portal templates. These portal templates are the community
portal, customer self service, portal employee self service, portal
partner portal and the customer portal, which is also referred to as Dynamics
365 Supply Chain Management. You also identified the type of audience
who will visit the new portal and now know that the audience determines which
options of the portal you will be given. You learned that users of power apps
portals are tracked in Microsoft data verse as contacts. And you subsequently discovered that
portal users can be authenticated by using local or external authentication. After the user is authenticated and
associated with the contact, power apps portals used numerous
tables to define authorization. You explored web roles that allow
an administrator to control user access to portal content and Microsoft data
verse rose and examined the three types of flows, Cloud flow business
process flows and desktop flows. You now also know that power automate
works by creating flows which are built with triggers and actions. Triggers determine what starts the flows
while actions determine what happens. You identified various action types and
flows such as loops, switch do until apply to each and
expressions. You also learned that you can perform data
operations in your flow such as compose, create CSV table and join or select. You now know that with power automate
you perform the activity that triggers the flow to run. The first trigger can happen
when something changes. You can set up a flow to be
triggered on a schedule or a trigger when pressing a button. You have discovered that Power Automate
enables you to include powerful workflow automation. You now know that you can easily connect
to data and services across the web and even on premises by accessing
over 275 connectors. Some common data sources
include Microsoft data verse, Salesforce Dynamics 365,
Google Drive and Office 365. You discovered that Power Automate also
allows you to create custom connectors and learned that Power Automate also takes
care of security and administration. With power Automate,
there are many security governance and reporting capabilities to
provide the necessary oversight. You can even write a flow to
manage all the other flows. And finally you learn to
build an automated solution using Microsoft Power Automate. That's a wrap, see you soon.
